Green Tree Preservation was founded to serve our neighbors, community, and environment with purpose before profit, to unite tree care with sustainable practices, and to bring our community and the environment into a brighter and greener future.

Green Tree Preservation is a limited-emissions tree service offering environmentally friendly arboriculture. Our passion is cultivating green space, solving problems, and caring for woody plants in an environmentally responsible way. If you want to increase your property value and aesthetically cultivate desirable green space while minimizing the carbon footprint traditionally associated with achieving these goals, then Green Tree Preservation is for you.

Tree Services

Ornamental Tree and Shrub Pruning

We take pride in our ornamental fine pruning. Like us, every plant is unique and should be cared for as such. We care for your ornamental trees and shrubs on an individual basis.

Talk with us about tailoring a plant care program to individualize and accentuate each woody plant in your landscape. Be sure you are cultivating your aesthetic to its full potential while increasing the value of your property and the health of your plants.

Tree Pruning for Health and Maintenance

Green Tree Preservation provides limited-emissions tree work services including Ornamental Pruning and Green Space Planning, Tree Inspection and Maintenance Pruning, and Tree Cabling, Bracing, and Hazard Mitigation.

We live in an urban environment in Boston where neighbors, families, trees, and structures all need to share the same space. Tree pruning over property lines, near houses, and away from other plants is often necessary.

It’s important to plan for the future of your woody plants. Choosing to correct unhealthy growth patterns and hazards in the tree canopy keeps you in control of your safety!

It’s important to inspect and mitigate hazardous conditions in your trees. Hazardous deadwood, compromised limbs in the canopy, decay in the trunk and roots, as well as the signs and symptoms of insects and disease are just a few reasons why you should have a certified arborist inspect your trees.

Tree Cabling and Hazard Mitigation

Green Tree Preservation provides limited-emissions tree work services including Ornamental Pruning and Green Space Planning, Tree Inspection and Maintenance Pruning, and Tree Cabling, Bracing, and Hazard Mitigation.

We love our trees, and, just like us, sometimes they need some extra support to make it through the hard times.

Installing structural support cables within a tree canopy can be a strategic and noninvasive way to prolong the life of your tree. It also increases the safety of the people and surroundings within reach of the tree if it were to fail.

Cabling offers proven support when trees are under the added stress of snow, ice, or the high winds of a New England storm.

Talk with a certified arborist more about whether your tree is a qualified candidate for cabling or bracing.

Did you know that using a gas-powered leaf blower for one hour is the emissions equivalent of driving your car 1100 miles? That's equal to driving to Georgia!

Where we began

David from Green Tree Preservation, and his dog Kip.

My name is David. I've been growing in the green industry for over 25 years and I’ve been pursuing my passion for trees, as a climbing arborist, for almost a decade.

As a certified arborist, I began Green Tree Preservation with a desire to simplify. To align and unite the goals I have for sustainability and the passion I have for trees.

The tree care industry is trending rapidly towards maximum equipment = maximum profit and profits reign supreme. I do not subscribe to this and believe our communities deserve to have a more sustainable option to care for our plants, large and small.

The dream began one sunny afternoon while walking my dog, Kip. Frustrated with the one-size-fits-all approach to plant health care and management, I was struck with the idea of starting a tree company whose goal is to operate with limited emissions and to significantly cut its carbon footprint.

Having a softer approach to tree care will provide a cleaner and healthier option for maintaining our community's green spaces and we tailor our plant management programs to fit your needs without excess carbon waste.

After much planning and research, Green Tree Preservation was born.

Let's change the way we care for our plants. Green Tree is constantly striving to stay on the cutting edge of eco-friendly equipment and plant health care practices. We utilize the latest in emissions-free equipment such as chainsaws, blowers, and trimmers that are powered by renewable energy. We pledge to NEVER superfluously use equipment that outputs high emissions.
